Spirit 003 — Spirit of Celebration

The cup goes round.

Something is opened, and it fizzes -- pink grapefruit and lime over a sweet, fruited bergamot, the lift of a just-uncorked bottle, open air above an outdoor table. Orange blossom arrives as the light drops; lavender and white flowers warm through the middle of the evening. What settles is warm rather than sweet -- vanilla, spiced carnation, musk and amber, staying part of the conversation. Effervescent, convivial and warm.

Joy is not an accident. It is something a people make together.
