Spirit 005 — Spirit of Sacrifice

First it was precious. Then it was given.

Something precious, wrapped in clean cloth, held briefly against warm skin -- Spirit of Sacrifice opens fragile, almost innocent, on osmanthus's apricot-peach glow over soft tea and leather. Then the moment of giving: a sharp green rose and saffron-spiced leather turn decisive, red metal and cut air. What remains after is quiet -- pale wood, faint smoke, a warmth that has been changed by the cost. Tender, decisive and changed.

First it was precious. Then it was given.

The Sun

What we give so another may see tomorrow.

The Gift

What matters is not what is surrendered, but why.

The Hands

Open, at the moment they could have closed.

The Flowers

Cut at their most beautiful. That was the point.

The Letting Go

Not loss. A choice, made whole.

The Burned Wood

Smoke rises because something below it agreed to burn.

What Remains

Warmth, long after the flame. Memory, long after the day.

Sillage: Close and tender at first, gaining a quiet resolve through the heart, then still -- worn near the skin, like something kept.

Longevity: What remains, remains -- pale wood and warm musk staying with you long after the giving.

"The osmanthus is the whole story -- precious for a moment, then handed over to the saffron and the smoke." -- the founder
